After I painted today's "angel" I found out some dear old family friends raise llamas and are very involved in the community with them, and Dawn even spins their wool into yarn and then knits! They unexpectedly lost a beloved llama named Fusion, who happens to look a lot like this "angel!"
Hey. I'm Izzie and this is my friend, Joey. Best friend! Izzie,
I'm your best friend! Yeah, anyway Joey and I noticed how much Kimberly
loves to paint furry faced bon vivants. So we asked if she would paint us
sitting in our favorite chair. She said, yes! Yes! She would love to
paint our portrait! And for free! Free! Joey, are you crazy? That pretty
lady we take care of paid to have our portraits painted. Look at us!
Aren't we the cutest!

---NUTSHELL BIO--- I earned my BFA from the Art Academy of Cincinnati in 1999 and participated in the New York Studio Program through Parsons. I've schlepped a backpacker's easel across Europe trying to connect to my "painter ancestors"--they weren't kidding about the light in south of France. And if I ever win an Oscar for painting I will thank Vermeer, Kahlo, Hopper, Richter and Barney, to name just a few.
